Mid-week update

Good morning, everyone. I just realized that this blog hasn't been updated since Friday! We have been so busy- and not with Back To School preparations.

We have had some rain....Hallelujah!! We have also had some rain in our basement....ugh!! It is almost completely dried out now. We know what the problem is and how to fix it. We better do it. We had about 2 inches of rain that fell very quickly. No normal rain causes us problems. It has to be a deluge.

We made a special trip to see my friend's new baby on Monday. (I'll call her lil' miss) She is adorable- with a dark complexion and dark hair. She has her dad's looks..now we'll see whose personality she has. That should be interesting!!!!!! I think I looked like that when I was born. She truly did just eat and sleep almost the whole time. Martha was in baby heaven! She either did the holdling or glared at me until I let her hold the baby. The trip down was as much for Martha as it was for me! I had to get it done or I would have been in serious trouble.

Buddy's foot is healing nicely now. It will be completely healed very soon. He has returned to playing basketball and using his scooter.

Steve has a tough week- it is a week of evaluation. I may have to do a little pampering to take the stress away.

I have officially started my column and am glad the first one is published. Yeah! Now, I have to move on to the next one. The nerves are back. I probably won't relax until September's is done. This could be interesting. Deadlines do some nasty work to this overly careful and sensitive first-born.
