Scootering

I have to write this-but this can't get back to Martha for a few days. I found out today that she learned (from her Grandpa) how to ride a scooter all on her own! I am so excited about this!!! Anytime I see my children learn something new it just makes me so happy! She is blessed to have her Grandpa!

The kids are getting spoiled. Hodge Podge's Friend, too. I think they will be in shock when they get home (Monday). I have all their school books ready, assignments ready, etc. They will have to go back to making beds and doing their chores. The only thing they will be happy about is seeing their friends again. (maybe mom and dad, too) We have had a couple of phone calls and knocks on the door for Martha and Buddy.

I have spent almost the whole day cleaning this house. The basement is all clean and ready for kids to play. The toys are all lined up ready to be dumped out. I am just taking a quick break before tackling this messy utility room. (yes, I am sitting in it again with this computer!)

The Labor Day weekend is here and I hope you all have a great one! We don't know what we will be doing, but we will make the most of our time together (Steve and I ). These opportunities only come around a couple times a year. The kids are easy to find homes for- Hodge Podge's Friend is a little neurotic and more difficult to leave behind. He continues to sleep under the bed at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Before I end, I must also share how happy I am to welcome a new baby into our church family. Sister-to-twins was born on Monday and is recovering from difficult circumstances. God has blessed our fellowship. We are not short on beautiful children.
